Introduction

Welcome to the Sixth Annual KohOscars. I started these awards in 2016 with a small group of friends to give famous people in Hollywood with a fake, meta-physical award online that will mean absolutely nothing to them and they may never know they won it. But, it’s really fun for us. Since these awards started, our nominating body has changed a lot. I must give a huge thank you to this year’s committee for agreeing there were enough movies this year to do these and for their help making this happen this year. Those members are Caleb Boatman, Tim Brzakala, Cameron Holzmann, Paul Oyama, & Adelaide Spence. Thank you again. This year was really weird and very difficult for everyone, but movies were something that we had that we could share with each other, even from miles away. We kept our eligibility rules pretty simple: if it was a film released in 2020, it counts. Hamilton & Small Axe were deemed eligible. If you look at this list and wonder where films such as Judas and the Black Messiah & The United States vs Billie Holliday are, they are 2021 films and will count towards next year’s awards. Voting will be open until Friday. With all of this out of the way, here are the nominees for the Sixth Annual KohOscars.
